Visiting Hours

Visiting hours are carefully designed to assure that each patient is allowed an adequate amount of rest and privacy during hospitalization.  Visitors are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that respects the needs of all patients.  Children under the age of twelve [12] will be allowed to visit for short intervals under special circumstances.  Any issues involving a conflict will be addressed by the on-duty nursing supervisor who has knowledge of any clinical data needed to resolve the conflict.

Do not present to the facility if you have any signs or symptoms of infection, which includes but is not limited to:  cough, congestion, fever, weeping wounds, rashes, nausea or vomiting.  Hospitalized patients are more susceptible to various sources of infection and need to be protected from external sources that have the potential for complicating care.

Visiting Hours

§         Medical Surgical Units:  11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

§         Intensive Care Unit:  Five minutes of every hour.  No visiting will be allowed during the hours of 7:00- 7:30 in the morning or evening.    The change of shift report is an important process for promoting continuity of care and must be conducted in a manner that maximizes patient privacy.

One person will be allowed to stay with a patient the morning of surgery.
